WARRINGTON Dolphins swimmers competed in the Open Water Championship at the Albert Dock in Liverpool.
Junior athlete Thomas Roberts claimed the first medal for Dolphins, finishing the two-mile swim in 39mins 11secs, while Steve Connor was the first veteran to make it home in 47mins and 49secs.
Rob Waters and Barbara Harding matched each other stroke-for-stroke over two miles, with Harding pipping Waters to the breaststroke title by two seconds in 1hr 5mins 7secs.
Jo Norton-Barker then finished fourth in the women’s four-mile event.
In the men’s event, Graham Padgett finished second and claimed the title of first veteran in 1hr 31mins 50secs, with Christian Wade third in 1hr 32mins 39secs.
* Jordan Barlow won the 100m and 200m freestyle titles in the 15 to 16-year-olds’ catergory at the National Youth Championships.
