A WELL-KNOWN martial arts school in Warrington is celebrating three of its members winning open competitions over Easter.
Lewis Robinson, Daisy Sumpton and Kane Welsby all came home victorious from the Sandee Open Championship, where they were representing the Latchford-based Warrior Muay Thai club.
Fifteen-year-old Lewis and 12-year-old Daisy, both of whom attend Sir Thomas Boteler High School, had to win through semi-finals in the competition, in which they could have been pitted against any opponent from lower-ranked fighters to those at the top of the rankings.
However, both won through their two fights on the day to become Sandee champions.
They were joined in that distinction by nine-year-old Kane of Bradshaw Primary School, who went straight into his age group final and won against a very good opponent.
