REPRESENTATIVE youth badminton teams finished runners-up in Cheshire inter-league tournaments in Christleton.
Warrington under 19s, featuring Maisie Whitehead, Hannah Jacks, Calum Gare, Som Dhulipala, James Maffitt and Mehak Singh, beat Wirral 5-3 and lost to Chester 6-2 in the Thornley Trophy.
It was similar for Warrington under 15s, featuring Risheka Sathyanathan, Abinaya Vemula, Ben Neale, Jack Ashcroft-Carter, Adarsh Kumar and Sep Bazli, as they overcame Wirral 6-2 but fell to Chester by the same score in the Dave O’Leary Trophy.
Players from Vida, Bridgewater High School, Weaverham and David Lloyd badminton clubs were called on.
