RYLANDS boss Darren Davies hailed a superb Easter weekend for his side as they recorded maximum points without conceding a goal.

Easter Monday saw them rack up an impressive 1-0 win over Cheshire League Premier Division leaders Whaley Bridge at Gorsey Lane.

Kris Bell scored the only goal of the game with a superb individual effort just before the hour mark.

That came just 48 hours after Przermek Staniszewski’s hat-trick helped them to a 3-0 victory over Denton Town.

“To beat two of the league's top teams in three days with two clean sheets is fantastic,” Davies said.

“We're full of confidence at the minute, playing well and working hard.

“It's important that we keep the momentum going for the remainder of the season as we still have some important games left, including a cup final.”

Meanwhile, Eagle Sports secured their Premier Division status for another year by beating title-chasing Wythenshawe Town 4-2 at Thornton Road on Tuesday.

After trailing 2-0 at the break, Ged McAllister scored twice to go with further goals from Adam Deakin and Edward Shaw to seal the victory.
