WARRINGTON ladies first team celebrated “doing the double” over local rivals Lymm seconds on Saturday.
Marian Taig gave them the lead with a cool finish before Lymm pegged their hosts back, but Molly Rudd struck a last-minute winner for Warrington.
The seconds were dominant in a 5-1 victory over Lymm fifths, with Jenny Fox hitting a hat-trick and Becky Miller scoring the other two.
Meanwhile, two goals from Adam Garrod helped the men’s firsts to a 4-3 win at Southport thirds, with Simon Mason and Steve Worrall also on the scoresheet.
However, despite holding the University of Salford firsts to a goalless first half, the seconds slipped to a 3-0 defeat.
