GREENALLS PSO moved up to ninth spot after beating Styal 6-2 away in the Cheshire League Premier Division.

Lee Vaughan and Ben McWilliams both scored twice, while Mark Hughes and Phil Harrison also hit home.

Warrington Town Reserves have been unstoppable this week as they totalled 15 goals in two games in Division Two.

Wednesday saw Ben Wharton take no prisoners as he smashed six goals past Halebank.

Alex Toward, Dylan Glass, Niall Ford and Rhys Bowers also hit home on a successful evening for Warrington.

They followed that up with a 5-0 win at FC St Helens to shoot up the table into second place and nestle a point behind leaders Lostock Gralam with two games in hand.

Mersey Valley sit level on points with Warrington but slipped to third on goal difference after they won 4-3 at home against Lostock.

In the Reserve Division League Cup, Garswood United moved to the top of Group A as they beat Greenalls PSO 3-2 with Jonathon Clarke, two, and Daniel Young scoring the goals.

In Reserve Division One, Poynton closed the gap at the top to three points after beating Daten 4-1 at home.

The sides went into the break level at 1-1 after goals from Ciaran McManus (Daten) and Mark Faulkner (Poynton) but clever play from the home side saw substitutes Craig Brennan, Ed Bailey and Kyle Woodward all hitting home to see Poynton finish on top.

KNutsford A remain three points behind Poynton in third place following their 3-2 win away at Grappenhall Sports.

Brad Williams bagged twice for Knutsford, along with a goal from Kallum McDonough.

Grappenhall’s goals were scored by Chris Cassettari and Charlie Parkinson.

In Reserve Division Two, Moore United flew up into fifth spot as they smashed an unanswered seven goals past Mersey Valley Development Squad.

Moore opened the scoring in the 15th minute when an Arnold free kick from the right was headed clear, but the ball dropped to Matthew O’Dwyer just outside the box and he watched the bounce before volleying with his left foot in to the top left corner with aplomb.

Just before the half-hour mark, Mersey Valley were reduced to ten as the goal keeper was dismissed for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity.

O’Dwyer took the resulting free kick and bent it round the wall with his right foot and inside the right post to double his Moore’s tally.

It was 3-0 after 43 minutes when Kyle Gallagher met a Matt Odie free kick at the back post and nodded the ball down inside the post.

However Moore were not finished and right on half time Gaghan spun the Mersey Valley centre half before shooting into the bottom right corner for 4-0.

Five minutes after the restart Ed Bryers did well to beat his man, before pulling the ball back to Gahgan who took a great touch before smashing the ball into the corner of the net for 5-0.

The 65th minute saw more good work by Moore as Farnadi dribbled the ball through the box before playing out to Matt Odie, he pulled it across the six yard box to Gallagher but he was beaten to the ball by a defender who turned the ball into his own net to make it 6-0.

The stand-in keeper had a bad day at the office as he brought down Matt Odie in the box and was dismissed for the same reason as his predecessor but the second stand in keeper denied Odie his hat-trick as he saved well low down to the right to palm the ball around the post for a corner.

Gallagher completed the scoring in the 70th minute when he turned the ball home from close range following up a Tom Smith shot from range.

The only other game in the division saw Rylands extend their lead at the top to three points after a 2-0 win at home against Middlewich Town.
