A YOUNG Grappenhall golfer has added a Cheshire crown to her trophy cabinet.
Bethany Hatcher, aged 14, won the Stella Watson Trophy at Sutton Hall with a two under par net 71.
“With home advantage it helps, but you’ve got to do it,” said dad Mark.
“She came back with a net 71, which was two under par for the ladies and a long way off anybody else on a windy day.
“So the trophy is hers for 12 months!”
The Lymm High School student was competing in one of five Cheshire matches throughout the year.
Younger sister Zoe will also feature in the final fixture, to be played on August 28.
Bethany was also in action for Cheshire last week, competing in the Northern Jamboree against five other counties at Grange-Over- Sands Golf Club.
