LIVERPOOL Reserves look set to play their football elsewhere next season.

Tonight's clash with Newcastle United at Warrington Wolves' Halliwell Jones Stadium could be their last one at the rugby league ground.

The Reds became the first soccer team to use Wolves' den as their match base, winning the Barclays Premier Reserve League title from their new home last season and attracting some impressive four-figure crowds along the way as well as a stunning 10,500 turnout for the clash with Manchester United.

But the second season has not been anywhere near as impressive, both in terms of results and attendances.

And all the talk as the curtain comes down on their second full season in the borough tonight is that Gary Ablett's men will be moving to pastures new for the 2009/10 campaign.

Southport, Wrexham and St Helens are among the towns to have hosted the Reds in the past.
