Damon Gamble and Thomas Wardman were on the scoresheet for the hosts and the goals earned them a 2-1 victory over Cronton Villa.

Meanwhile, in the Jubilee Cup, goals from Liam McDonagh and Marcus O’Hara earned Woolston Rovers a 2-1 win at Rainhill Town while Grange went out via a penalty shoot-out defeat to Avon Athletic.
