LONGFORD'S Jesse Lingard was on target for the first time in the Premier League as a Manchester United player on Saturday.
The 22-year-old winger scored in the second half as Louis van Gaal's side beat West Brom 2-0 at Old Trafford.
The Warrington-born youngster curled home from the edge of the box in the 52nd minute to put the hosts ahead, before Spaniard Juan Mata added a second late on.
Lingard, who had a spell on loan at Derby County last season, also impressed in United's Champions League win over CSKA Moscow in midweek.
