OPENING games in the new Cheshire Football League season were played on Tuesday night for some Warrington clubs.
Rylands achieved a 2-1 success at Garswood, sub Tom Swann netting the 88th-minute winner after Garswood had equalised midway through the second period.
Kris Bell had given Rylands the lead two minutes into the second half (full report to follow).
Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds defeated ‘derby’ rivals Eagle Sports 1-0 thanks to a strike from Lee Vaughan.
Cheshire Football League fixtures for Saturday:
Premier Division: Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds v Styal, Malpas v Eagle Sports, Rylands v Knutsford.
Division One: Middlewich v Daten.
Reserve Division One: Daten Reserves v Linotype Cheadle HN Reserves, Grappenhall Sports Reserves v Styal Reserves, Greenalls Padgate St Oswalds Reserves v Poynton Reserves, Sandbach United FC Reserves v Eagle Sports Reserves.
Reserve Division Two: Cuddington Reserves v Rylands Reserves.
