A LAST-MINUTE winner earned Eagle Sports a vital victory after a tight encounter in the Cheshire League’s Division One on Saturday.
The sides went in level at the break after an uneventful first period, but the game came to life afterwards.
Crewe took the lead when Nathan Southern converted a 25-yard free kick, but Ged McAllister brought the Warrington-based visitors level two minutes later.
Nathan Williams’ last-gasp goal proved to be the winner after a tense finale.
“While we were not at our best against a good side,we showed tremendous character,” said Eagle boss Rob Hope.
“We rallied and turned the game around, which is very pleasing,” said Eagle manager Rob Hope.

n GED McAllister scored the only goal on Tuesday night when Eagle Sports edged guests Linotype.
It leaves them placed eighth in the table ahead of a double-header with Denton Town this weekend.
