GLAZEBURY produced an excellent bowling performance to secure an 85-run victory over The Groves on Saturday.

Batting first at Hurst Lane, the hosts recovered from being 9-2 early on to post a reasonable total of 177-5 from their allotted overs.

Opener Jack Warhurst top scored with an excellent 82, while skipper Sam Stanier weighed in with 56.

Stanier then starred with the ball as he ripped through the visitors’ top order to finish with figures of 5-22.

APPLETON were thankful to a superb innings from Kanthiraj Vensarkar as they ground out a 13-run victory at Wilmslow.
