GRAPPENHALL seconds ran out comfortable eight-wicket winners at home to Bowdon on Saturday.
Bowdon struggled to 100 for 9 45 overs with only fielding 10 men, with Mike Holden being the pick of the bowlers, bowling with genuine pace and aggression.
Despite a couple of early wickets the seconds coasted to victory inside 19 overs with Albert Pennington continuing his run of form since returning from injury with another 50.
He was well supported by another 18-year-old as Ben Bodha finished 28 not out, himself only just returning from a similar serious knee injury.
The thirds were well beaten by Cheadle, who posted 181 for 9 as Stanley Pennington and Arran McCabe took three wickets apiece on Sunday.
In reply, Grappenhall fell for 94.
