GRAPPENHALL’S thirds chalked up their first win in four weeks with a 38-run victory over a depleted Sale side at Broad Lane on Sunday.
Ben Bodha’s unbeaten 52 was complemented by Albert Pennington, 50, and Mike Moss, 41, with 13-year-old Josh Hayes, 2, given a debut before Grappers declared on 187 after 38 overs.
Paul Tyerman, 3 for 42, and teenager Stanley Pennington, 2 for 24, spearheaded the hosts’ attack as the nine men of Sale were scuppered for 149.
