Crosfields' game will be streamed live on the BBC Sport website
CROSFIELDS’ Challenge Cup first-round tie at Rochdale Mayfield will be streamed live on the BBC Sport website, the RFL has announced.
The broadcaster had committed to streaming one game from each of the first five rounds of the competition and Soap’s game has been chosen as the first of 2018 to feature.
The game takes place on Saturday, January 27, at Mayfield Sports Centre in Rochdale, kick off 2pm.
Soap have not featured in the Challenge Cup since 2011 but met Mayfield in 2010, losing 22-12.
Jimmy Williams, the club’s new head coach, started that day for Soap and this year’s clash will be his first game in charge of the club.
