NOTHING but a win will do for Woolston Rovers when they travel to Waterhead Warriors on Saturday, head coach John Fieldhouse says.

Saturday’s loss to Oldham St Annes sees Rovers sitting sixth in National Conference League Division Three, four points behind leaders West Bowling.

Waterhead have won only four of their 12 games this season, but Fieldhouse is anticipating “a big challenge” for his side.

The Rovers boss also says another defeat will put them in danger of losing touch with the teams above them.

“We have to put last weekend firmly to the back of our mind as there is nothing that we can do about it,” he said.

“What we can control is the game coming up and we know that Waterhead will provide us with another big challenge.

“It is always a difficult place to go but we cannot afford to slip up and need to come home with the two league points to stay in touch with the teams above us.”

“We have been tested each week due to the number of personnel changes we have had to make and this weekend will be no different.

“Hopefully the lads can come up with a winning performance to get us moving back up the league table.”
