IESTYN Harris turned out for Culcheth Eagles on Saturday.
The 38-year-old Salford Red Devils coach, who had a stellar playing career as a dual-code Wales international that started at Warrington Wolves and continued with Leeds Rhinos, Bradford Bulls, Cardiff RFC, made his debut in the team's 28-28 draw at Runcorn.
Salford's performance manager Russ MacFarlane featured too.
Eagles chairman Jo Eland said: "Russ came to watch our game against Chester the previous week, and liked the way our lads were as a team and the way they played.
"He called and asked if he could have a game and if we were ok if Iestyn came too. What could we say? We are heralding him as our marquee player!"
Culcheth ground out a draw after having trailed by 12 points in the second half.
Harris treated the supporters to a cheeky chip and chase that nearly paid off but in the end Mike Harrison's hat-trick try sealed a share of the spoils.
Other tries came from Brett Hardman and Ben Myers.
Not to miss out on an opportunity, Eland concluded: "If there are any other legends out there who fancy a run out you are more than welcome to soar with the Eagles."
