Folly Lane 32 Rylands Sharks 14
RYLANDS crashed out of the North West Men's League Cup at the preliminary round stage.
They were climbing a mountain after turning round 16-0 adrift but a try from Chris Meacock one minute into the second half gave them hope.
Over the next 10 minutes Rylands had two scores controversially ruled out for passes adjudged to be forward.
Folly Lane survived the Sharks purple patch and when the home dummy half crossed for a try that was considered doubtful by the visitors it more or less confirmed the outcome.
Two further exchanges of tries, Nick Braide and Paul Reynolds touching down for Rylands, highlighted the visitors sticking to the task.
Nick Owen, Paul Reynolds and Dave Walker stood out for Rylands.
