RYLANDS preserved their perfect start to the Division One season with a four-wicket victory against neighbours Glazebury on Saturday.

Captain Richard Buck’s fine five-wicket haul, with support from Ross Arrowsmith who took three for 42, helped to dismiss the hosts for 108.

Rylands’ reply started slowly before Arrowsmith, 25 not out, helped them to 112 for six in the 25th over with contributions from Eddie Platt, 24, and Sam Mulholland, 23.

The Warrington outfit, who host unbeaten Langley this weekend, are the only top flight team to have won each of their three opening matches.

Rylands’ second string was frustrated by Appleton’s fourths in Division Four.

Big-hitter Gary Moors, 45, got Rylands off to a flier before Mike Stanton's half-century helped the hosts to 191 for eight.

Appleton were reeling at 40 for five after Sujith Nair, Nathan Lowe and Sean Peters all took wickets.

But a rearguard action from Inzy Rashid, 31, helped the visitors to draw the match at 93 for eight.
