WARRINGTON Wolves Foundation Basketball team boast the only unbeaten record in EBL Division Four after they ended Burnley’s undefeated run in convincing style.
Meeting at Burnley College on Saturday, Wolves were forced to start without three of their regulars after they got lost on the way to the venue.
Wolves’ young replacements filled in admirably in their abscence, with Tom Morris and Anthony Purcell in particular making themselves a nuisance to the home side.
Once the starting line-up had been reunited, Wolves showed their strength and experience as they began to dominate the academy side, easing into a comfortable 30-point lead for the rest of the contest.
Wolves will be optimistic of continuing their dominant run when they host Bury at Birchwood Leisure Centre on Saturday, tip-off 4pm.
