LYMM made history by achieving their biggest ever win and taking second spot in the Cheshire league’s all-time records.

Hollie Acklam scored two quick goals, Susie Chiverton bagged a hat-trick and Natalie Heap, Jayne Buck and Helen Weston made it 11-0 at half time.

LYMM men’s team are through to the Cheshire Plate Final after knocking out opponents who are ranked four divisions higher.

Lymm attacked from the whistle and were rewarded with a penalty corner for a foul on captain Andy Hunt, with Arrowsmith converting.

David Antonelli stepped up to score a penalty and Phill Griffiths’ run took him into the D, where he found the right-hand corner of the net.

Another penalty corner brought the fourth goal, Arrowsmith setting up Hunt for a deflected finish.

Keeper Tony Huddart made a series of crucial saves but was powerless to prevent Neston netting from a well-worked penalty corner routine.

Lymm hit back immediately with a penalty corner, skipper Hunt notching two before the final whistle.
