Parkside Golborne 6 Bank Quay Bulls 28

BANK Quay Bulls climbed to the top of the Kukri North West Counties Premier Division with a hard fought victory at Parkside Golborne.

The home team looked to match the Bulls forwards on a heavy pitch but when Bank Quay moved the ball wide Parkside struggled to contain them.

Ste Fisher found the space for an unconverted try to open the scoring.

A break from Darren Cragg set up the position for Phil Braddish to double the lead, swiftly followed by Ste Fisher’s second.

Parkside found a way back into the game but Danny Shaw produced a timely interception to go over.

The second half produced a scrappy period but Phil Braddish went in between the posts for his second try and Nick Braide completed the scoring.

Bulls travel to York Acorn for a third round tie in the BARLA National Cup on Saturday.

Fans can travel on the team coach, which sets off from Bank Quay Sports Club at 9.30am.
