Parkside Golborne 6 Bank Quay Bulls 28
BANK Quay Bulls climbed to the top of the Kukri North West Counties Premier Division with a hard fought victory at Parkside Golborne.
The home team looked to match the Bulls forwards on a heavy pitch but when Bank Quay moved the ball wide Parkside struggled to contain them.
Ste Fisher found the space for an unconverted try to open the scoring.
A break from Darren Cragg set up the position for Phil Braddish to double the lead, swiftly followed by Ste Fisher’s second.
Parkside found a way back into the game but Danny Shaw produced a timely interception to go over.
The second half produced a scrappy period but Phil Braddish went in between the posts for his second try and Nick Braide completed the scoring.
Bulls travel to York Acorn for a third round tie in the BARLA National Cup on Saturday.
Fans can travel on the team coach, which sets off from Bank Quay Sports Club at 9.30am.
