EAGLE Vets got among the visitors straight away and it soon became apparent that the mature men from Thornton Road would have too much power and experience for the Leigh side.
Tries came from Ivens, Astly, Farrar, Brown, Friery and Simmons as the Vets recorded a solid win against strong opposition, who were just too inexperienced.
Eagle 1st team host Carnforth while the second string travel to Widnes, both games are on Saturday, kick off 2.15pm.
