WARRINGTON Wolves’ five Academy players at the University Rugby League World Cup all suffered opening-game defeat on Saturday.
Antony Jerram, Dave Saxon, Craig Cornelia and Michael Johnson were unable to prevent England losing 24-0 to hosts Australia in Brisbane, while Tyrone McCarthy saw his Ireland side fall to a 32-12 defeat against Wales.
