A POOR performance led to Glazebury losing to Langley by 112 runs in Cheshire Cricket Alliance Division Two.

Matt Stevens, who had been dropped twice, contributed 119 towards the 213 for 8 that Glazebury had to chase.

Openers Jack Warhurst and Dave Mason put on 35 for the first wicket in reply but after that Glazebury collapsed to 68 for 9.

Despite a last-wicket stand that left Ian McCue as the top scorer with an unbeaten 25, the hosts were all out for 101.

Glazebury’s second XI secured their fourth win of the season at Capenhurst. Wayne Hargreaves chipped in with 49 runs.
