PUTTING 60 points on someone has been coming for a few weeks.

Wakefield have been getting a lot of praise about how well they’re playing, so to put 60 on them was really good.

But Jimmy Lowes wasn’t entirely happy and neither were we. Wakefield shouldn’t have scored 24 points.

Defensively we’ve still got a lot of improvement to do, which is good. We’re winning games and yet we’ve still got so much more improving to do.

I’m pretty happy with my form, although I didn’t know at the time that it was my 50th try for Warrington on Sunday.

We’ve played slightly differently since Jimmy took over and it’s provided myself and the forwards the opportunity to do more with the ball. We’re handling the ball more than we’d probably done and that’s providing opportunities to play.

The Bradford and Huddersfield games are massive for us, not only for points but for confidence.

We’ve built our confidence up slowly and to put in two really good performances in the next couple of weeks is really important leading into two of the biggest games of the year against Leeds and Saints.

Jimmy has changed the schedule around and training has been at different times.

We’ve had different days off here and there. It’s been quite refreshing but it’s nothing more than making sure players get the proper rest.

We had a tough run-out on Sunday and we were in on Monday and then had Tuesday off, with sharp sessions yesterday and today going into the game tomorrow.

Myself, Martin Gleeson, Benny Westwood and Mick Monaghan went down to watch Woody in the reserves on Saturday and support him in his first game back.

What fans don’t see is the hard work he’s done behind the scenes.

He’s become addicted to training and to getting his shoulder right.

Going into that first game back is quite nerve-wracking, so we just thought a little bit of support would help him through.

Luckily he came through unscathed, nipped over for a try and played well. It will have done his confidence a lot of good.

I want to pay tribute to the massive effort from Benny and in particular Mozza and Big Gleese, who backed up for us at Hull last week after playing for England.

It was a particularly big effort from Moz playing in the front row. He’s just been unbelievable for us this year and for him and Gleese to play dominant roles in that game was a massive effort.

Also a thank you to the couple of hundred of fans who made the trip to Hull on the back of the Catalans game. It was great to see them there supporting us.
