JIMMY Lowes is looking forward to pitting his wits against his old club for the first time as a head coach tomorrow, Friday, but has insisted that a victory would be no more special than any other win.

Lowes won three Super League titles, two Challenge Cups and one World Club Challenge during his seven years as a player at Bradford before moving on to the coaching staff alongside current Bulls boss Steve McNamara.

He said: “Bradford are a good club, a nice club and the head coach is a good friend of mine. I speak to him quite a lot.

“It’s a club that have got great memories for me. I had a great time there and I know a lot of people, the coaching staff but also behind the scenes. I’ve got a lot of good friends there.

“It’s my first time as head coach facing my old club that I spent a lot of time with.

“It’s going to be special for myself but it’s about 17 lads going out there and performing.

“I left on good terms with Bradford and it wouldn’t feel extra special to beat them.

“I’m 100 per cent committed to this club and it’s another Super League game for us.”
