LOUIS Anderson is gearing up for a bruising battle with Bradford Bulls tomorrow night, Friday, believing that the team’s hard work is clicking into place.
The Kiwi back rower feels some of the team’s potential shone through in the hammering of Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at the weekend.
His rampaging runs and skilful offloads helped to undo the Wildcats and he set up the final two tries for opposite wingers Chris Riley and Kevin Penny to clock up 60 points for the team for the first time since last July’s superb victory at Hull Kingston Rovers.
“Keeping hold of the lead against Wakefield was awesome,” he said.
“I think we still need to work on not being in try-for-try situations with teams, as happened early in the first half.
“But in the second half we showed that once we get a lead we can keep rolling on without letting a team back in the game.
“Usually, when we get our head above teams we’ve let them back in and it has ended up a really tight game but it was different against Wakefield.
“It’s good to see that. It’s a good sign for the boys and for our confidence.”
