LIVERPOOL Reserves have signed a deal to remain at Warrington's Halliwell Jones Stadium for a further year.

Liverpool played at the home of Warrington Wolves during the 2007/08 season but had to switch their final two home matches to Wrexham because of problems with the pitch at The Halliwell Jones.

Liverpool were delighted with average attendances of 3,968 in Warrington but had said that reassurances over the pitch would be required before agreeing to an extension.

But Wolves have spent money improving the playing surface in the past few months and, after being pleased with the much-improved pitch, Liverpool agreed to remain at The Halliwell Jones on an initial one-year basis.

Liverpool's first home game during the 2008/09 season is scheduled to be against city rivals Everton on Tuesday, October 14.

Liverpool have 10 home matches in total, with the second against Wigan Athletic on November 18.

Manchester United come to town on March 10, while Manchester City visit on February 10.
