IT’S time to hear what our Warrington Wolves Fan Panel thought of their side’s win at Leeds Rhinos on Friday.

Here’s the verdict of panel members Louis Banks and Rob Croston…

LOUIS BANKS

I don’t think anyone going into this game thought we would win by that margin.

Another gutsy, team performance, missing key pack players everyone stood up and played their part.

Ben Currie rollled back the years and played like he did when he burst onto the scene, Jordy Crowther put in another solid performance – nothing fancy, just solid – James Harrison doesn’t put a foot wrong, it really is a team playing for one another!

And George Williams looks like he can play this game in his sleep! Lets see how we fair against another step up in Saints.

ROB CROSTON

After a defeat, you are always looking for an immediate response to put things right.

Wire didn’t just respond, they gave a very complete performance and set a real marker down as to what their intentions are.

The Wire put a lot of pressure on Leeds line in the opening quarter, but it was all to nothing and similar to last week, Leeds went to the Wire end of the field, forced a Wire error and they then capitalised off the back of that.

However, this new Wire side…there is something different about them.

They didn’t panic, they worked their way back into the game with tries from Matty Nicholson, George Williams and Joe Bullock just before half time.

Wire then never seemed to lose control of the game. Battling it out, controlling the game when it needed control and putting in some special plays in both defence and attack.

With a good chunk of the front row missing, it would be easy to think Wire wouldn’t compete.

This Wire side seem to be different, the ‘next man up’ is certainly working, whoever fits into that starting line-up knows they have a job to do and is there to do it well.

Every single player put their all in but particularly Ben Currie, who has been fantastic at 13, Joe Bullock and James Harrison, who led the pack very well, paved the way for the rest of the players to create moments of magic and brilliance.

Games don’t come much bigger than against Saints, next week is a different competition, people might write Wire off before a ball is even kicked… but write this Wire side off at your peril, they are building something good and showing Wire fans unity and team spirit.
