TWO Warrington kickboxers suffered defeats in title fights in Leigh on Saturday.
Warrington Kickboxing Studio's Ryan O'Donnell relinquished his English light welterweight title after being defeated 70-47 on points by Cornwall's Matthew Murt.
And Rob Lightburn was unable to claim the British light middleweight belt, with Teeside's Ben Marshall claiming a 90-60 points victory.
Warrington Kickboxing Studio's Neil Holden said: "Their opponents were simply the better players on the night.
"Both learned a lot from the matches and I am sure this will help them raise their game in the future."
The club did have winners in some of the support bouts, though, with Ste Martin defeating Mark Walsh, of the RAF, 123-105 on points in a light heavyweight contest that was judged to be the best bout of the night.
Andy Hawkins eased past Teeside's Robbie Harrison 49-15 in the cruiserweight division, while Danny Garth won 101-77 against Cornwall's Kyle Walker and fellow light middleweight Adnan Rashid defeated Leigh's Chris Southern 87-69.
Angela Atkinson outgunned Leigh's Natalie Sharkie 70-37 on points in a women's welterweight bout.
Warrington Kickboxing Studio fighters are next scheduled to be in action at an event in Urmston on May 24.
