IT is clear from speaking to Steve Price that he is an incredibly family-orientated man.

While he may have arrived in England alone at first, it was not long before he was joined by his wife Sheridyn and their three daughters, Sienna, Savannah and Sharni.

When the chance to move to Warrington first came up, Price says they all sat down to do their research on what the change might bring for them.

The Wire boss, who turns 41 on Wednesday, says things are moving along nicely but that there was still one part of living in Warrington that he struggles with.

“The traffic at times is horrendous. I still can’t get my head around it,” he said.

“Some days it can take five minutes to get somewhere and on others it can take 45.

“It was just a matter of doing what was right for my family – my wife and three young daughters.

“We are big on education as a family, so a lot of homework went on behind the scenes about schooling systems and things like that.

“Once that was done, it was an easy decision.

“We’re loving our time here as a family. My wife Sheridyn has been rock-solid by my side."

He was also full of praise for those working behind the scenes at The Wire for making the transition a seamless one.

“From the moment I arrived, people have been superb,” he said.

“Doreen Lindop sets up all the players from overseas and makes them feel comfortable.

“She has been a very loving, caring person for us from day one, as have a lot of people at the club.”

Price’s family have faithfully followed him throughout his career and will do so again at Wembley on Saturday.

He also revealed that some reinforcements will be arriving from Australia in time for the game.

“My Mum and Dad are coming over to see us at Wembley,” he said.

“My wife’s parents are coming too, so it will be a great experience.”
