JOSH Charnley says he considers being part of this Warrington Wolves side to be “a privilege”

Having arrived partway through the season from rugby union side Sale Sharks, the winger has been a try-scoring sensation having notched 21 tries, including two in today’s Challenge Cup semi-final win over Leeds Rhinos.

Charnley will now aim to win a second Challenge Cup – having won at Wembley with Wigan in 2013 – when The Wire take on Catalans Dragons on August 25.

“I’m buzzing. I didn’t expect to come in with the lads in such a good state,” he said.

“It’s a privilege to be part of this team. We work hard each week and this just proves we’re heading in the right direction.

“They (Leeds) have a lot of quality players in their team who have played in a lot of big games.

“They know how to handle games like that, they stuck with it for a bit but we stuck to our gameplan.

“My job is putting the ball over the line. It was good to score in front of those fans.

“The club have given me this opportunity to come back into rugby league and it’s one I’m grateful for.”
