ENGLAND have done it.

They are through to the semi finals of the FIFA World Cup semi for the first time since 1990.

And Jesse Lingard, Warrington's Manchester United star, made a huge contribution in the second half as England defeated Sweden 2-0.

His curling dinked cross fell perfectly for Tottenham's Dele Alli to seal a comfortable victory.

Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was man of the match with a series of crucial saves in the second half.

The Warrington lad celebrated with his mum after the final whistle.

England will go on to play Croatia, victors over Russia on penalties, in Wednesday night's semi final.
