HOW exciting was that?

England, with Warrington's Jesse Lingard in their ranks, did it the hard way, defeating Colombia 4-3 on penalties to march into the quarter finals of FIFA World Cup 2018.

Eric Dier stuck home the winning goal after Jordan Pickford made two fine saves during the shoot-out.

Harry Kane put England ahead with a first-half penalty but the Colombians forced extra time with a Yerry Mina strike in the 92nd minute.

England will face Sweden in the last eight on Saturday.
