LONGFORD'S Jesse Lingard scored a sublime goal to help England thrash Panama and secure their passage to the World Cup knockout stages yesterday.
The former William Beamont High School pupil curled in an exquisite effort from the edge of the area for the Three Lions' third goal in the 6-1 victory in Nizhny Novgorod.

The goal was Lingard's second international strike and capped a stellar display by the Manchester United midfielder.
