WARRINGTON Wizards coach Danny Lima wants his side to take control in the opening stages of Sunday's Conference National trip to Hemel Hempstead Stags.

Lima, whose playing career appears to have been brought to an end after he left Widnes Vikings, takes his side to Hertfordshire needing a victory to strengthen their place in the top two.

Try machine Mark Roughneen is unavailable because of work commitments and Tom Wild has a fractured cheekbone and eye socket but Gareth Barron, Simon McEvoy and Dave Kelly could come back into contention.

Lima said: "It is vital that we seize the initiative early on and get some points on the board. We don't want to be playing catch up against Hemel on their own ground.

"If we can dictate the pace of the game then we have enough ability to capitalise on that."

Any supporters wanting to travel to Hemel Hempstead by coach, leaving the Village Hotel at 8.30am, can contact Nikki on 837829.
