WOLVES Under 19s head coach Stuart Barrow is still looking for “an 80-minute performance” from his side despite getting their first win of the season against London Broncos on Saturday.

Four tries from second-rower Ellis Gillam helped Barrow’s men to a 40-10 win, with Will Dagger, Nathan Ainsworth and Connor Taylor also crossing.

Barrow says he was pleased at the way his side regrouped from Alex Tankard’s red card but says there are still improvements to make.

“We made a strong start and looked really good but we then went away from the gameplan and allowed London to put us under pressure,” he said.

“We got together at half time and re-focussed on what we were looking to do.

“We then went out and improved our execution, which allowed us to become more dominant, especially in the final fifteen minutes.

“We still have things to improve on and we will do that; we need to put together a full eighty-minute performance.”

Barrow’s side now have another week off as they prepare for their next game, which is away to Wakefield Trinity on Saturday, March 11.
