A HEROIC goalkeeping performance from Tracy Jackson helped Warrington women’s first team to a shock win over Cheshire Women’s Hockey League Division One leaders Oxton.
Jackson’s saves, coupled with goals from Steph Rawlins and Marian Taig, helped the team come from behind to record a notable success.
The men’s second team were edged out 3-2 by Golborne, with Chris Ashworth and Rich Hannibal scoring their goals, while Iain Richards was on the scoresheet as the men’s firsts lost 3-1 to Keswick’s seconds.
The women’s second team’s game against Lymm’s fourths was abandoned after Warrington’s Jess Palmer suffered a broken arm.
