BRENT Grose hopes to hold on to the left centre position as Wolves aim to complete their first double of the season against Harlequins.

The Australian has enjoyed working in a successful left-sided combination with Vinnie Anderson, Paul Johnson and Richie Barnett for the last two games and feels there are better things still to come from the quartet.

Familiarity appears to be starting to pay off for Wolves, who were in the luxurious position against Barrow Raiders on Sunday of fielding the same team for two weeks running.

Seven of Wolves' nine tries, including a sixth in eight games from Grose, came on the left and now that his scoring touch has been re-ignited he is hungry for more.

The 27-year-old, who had failed to score in his opening six matches of the season, said: "It can be a bit like that. Once you break a duck you can start striking a few.

"I've got some really good players around me, which helps.

"It's nice to have Vinnie Anderson on my inside because he can score tries from anything, as we saw against Salford at the Millennium Stadium in the previous game.

"So, just to hang around him I'm sure will bring me a few more tries.

"With Vinnie, Paul and Richie we've got a pretty good combination going and the more we play together the better we'll get, so hopefully I can get a few more games at centre."
