GRAPPENHALL Cricket Club's first XI gained a creditable Cheshire County League draw at Tattenhall on Saturday.
The Broad Lane side were bowled out for 163 in 45.1 overs, with the main contributions coming from Richard Hudd, 35, Neil Titchard, 27, Chris France, 23, and Ian Barnes, 23.
Tattenhall reached 101 for 2 before spinners Jason Smith and Neil Titchard caused a collapse, taking five wickets for eight runs between them helped by outstanding catches from Richard Green and Nick Chadbourne.
The eighth-wicket pair hung on for a draw at 135 for 7.
