WARRINGTON Wizards remain unbeaten in the Conference National ahead of Sunday's home game against Cottingham Phoenix but head coach Danny Lima was not impressed with his side's performance at Leeds Akkies.

Wizards host Cottingham, of Hull, at Wilderspool at 2.30pm having won their first five league games to move three points clear at the top of the table.

But Lima wants his side to play better.

He said: "We missed out on a lot of scoring opportunities through forcing the pass and that gave Leeds a big lift.

"The players know that they can play better flowing rugby.

"If we can iron out the mistakes in our game then we will be able to play with more conviction and that will start to reflect in an even more favourable scoreline."

Matt Taylor should return from illness, while Wes Lawton may also come into contention.

Leeds Akkies 22 Warrington Wizards 32.

WIZARDS did not have it all their own way against Conference National new boys Leeds Akkies.

Scott Davidson crossed to put them ahead and the lead was extended when Chris Campbell raced 40 metres to score, with Danny Shaw converting.

Leeds hit back with a try but Ian Stephenson then touched down and Matt Wilson added another converted try.

Stephenson responded to another Leeds effort to make it 26-8 at half time but the hosts scored three tries after the break to cut Wizards' lead to four points.

A try from man of the match Chris Jaffrey settled their nerves, though.
