TWO more members of Warriors of Warrington Swimming Club have secured places at the National Age Group and Youth Championships in July.

Mike Tujeshyn, aged 15, secured his first ever national qualifying time in the 800m freestyle at the North West Youth Championships.

Twelve-year-old Daniel Wass, who only moved into Warriors' main squad this month, secured his first national qualifying time in the 200m backstroke at the Satellites meet in Macclesfield at the weekend.

Others to record NQTs at the Satellites meet were Tim Almond, 14, in the 100m freestyle and 200m butterfly, Matthew Verdon, 13, in the 200m butterfly and Jordan Barlow, 12, in the 100m backstroke time.

They had already qualified for the National Age Group and Youth Championships, while several other Warriors swimmers were only hundredths of a second from qualifying.

Warriors achieved a total of 12 gold medals, nine silvers and six bronzes at the meet and youth swimmers have their last chance to record NQTs at events in Manchester and Stoke this weekend.
