THREE Warrington girls' rugby league teams still have their sights on a trip to Wembley in the Carnegie Champion Schools Tournament.
Cardinal Newman High School's year 10 team, the Warrington Sports Personality Under 16s Team of 2006, are through to the national festival at Hopwood Hall in Rochdale, where the qualifiers for the August final in London will be decided.
The current holders have gone through to the festival after defeating Wigan's St John Fisher High School to be crowned north west stage champions.
Cardinal Newman's year eight team and William Beamont Sports College's year nine team will also be in action in Rochdale.
Newman became north west champions after defeating Halton's Wade Deacon High School in the final, while William Beamont go through after finishing runners up to St John Fisher.
Teams that play in the final will take part in a lap of honour at the new Wembley Stadium on Carnegie Challenge Cup Final.
Before the qualifying festival, players in Cardinal Newman's highly successful year 10 team have another important date.
They will all be playing for Warrington Wolves Girls' under 16s team as they, along with Wolves' under 14s, represent the region in the Champion of Champions event in Sheffield on Sunday.
