JUNIOR teams from Lymm Rugby Club clinched victory in an international tournament during their trip to Bahrain.
Lymm took 65 boys to the Middle East for the tournament and each team - from under sevens up to under 10s - produced an excellent performance to finish top of their round robin groups after facing Bahrain, Kuwait and Dubai.
Many matches were played in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees but Lymm were able to overcome the Asian sides, who included several ex-pats from Britain, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Around 100 parents and coaches accompanied the teams to Bahrain and George Wealthall, who was one of the coaches of the under nines, said: "It was a fantastic tour and to take that number of children at that age group 3,000 miles to Bahrain was just a fantastic experience for them.
"They were able to play some good rugby in an open passing style."
Tour organiser Nick Hughes added: The most amazing thing about the trip was the behaviour of the boys at all times - a credit to Lymm.
"We have been invited back to Bahrain and Dubai next year."
