APPLETON Boys under 10s A team defeated Newton 4-0 in the Warrington Junior Soccer League Auxiliary Cup Final at Victoria Park on Saturday.
The goal scorers were Dominic Smith, Ben Potter, James Gleave and Ben Webster.
Managers Tony Eakins and Bill Potter are proud of the boys' achievement and so are the parents and siblings, who have supported the team over the last few years.
The team is a mixture of boys from Stretton St. Matthews, Broomfields and St Monicas schools. The boys have been playing together in the Warrington Junior League Division One team since under eights level.
The level of skill and commitment has developed and grown significantly over the past three seasons.
The team has a passing approach to the game of football with a high level of sportsmanship combined with the required competitive edge.
