GRAPPENHALL Cricket Club held its inaugural chairman's ball at the Park Royal Hotel, Stretton.
The event was attended by 200 guests, including the club's most famous son, exGrappenhall, Lancashire and England batsman Neil Fairbrother.
Neil has recently accepted the offer of becoming the club's first patron and was presented with a gift on the night to commemorate his loyalty and commitment to the club.
Many club members, local businesses and guests were at the event and a fantastic evening was had by all.
The event managed to raise funds to enable Grappers to maintain and improve their facilities.
A successful auction included a signed Ashes winning shirt from 2005.
