WARRINGTON Wolves have dismissed rumours Micky Higham is set to leave the club before the end of the season.

Championship outfit Leigh Centurions bid to sign the hooker, but that request was rejected.

Young hooker Brad Dwyer will return for a month from his loan spell at London Broncos to cover for the injured Daryl Clark.

A club statement said: "Following recent speculation, Warrington Wolves can confirm that the club has received a request from Leigh Centurions to sign Micky Higham with immediate effect.

"Micky is contracted at the Wolves until the end of the current 2015 season and as such the club has turned down this request from the Championship side.

"He is a key part of our first team and one of our more influential and experienced players. We believe he has a big role to play in the future success of 2015.

"Fellow hooker Daryl Clark is currently on the sidelines through injury therefore the club has also called back Brad Dwyer, on loan at London Broncos, for a month with immediate effect."
