WOOLSTON Rovers A are in action on Thursday evening when they travel to Leigh Miners Rangers A in the North West Men’s League Trophy quarter final.
Kick off is 7.30pm at Twist Lane, Leigh and coach Chris Ball will be hoping that they will put in a better performance than last Saturday at Culcheth.
He said: “We were very disappointed with the way we played overall at Culcheth and we will need to perform a lot better at Miners if we are to reach the semi final.
“We played well in patches but that is not enough if you want to win games.
“We do have a young side and they will learn from the experiences of the last few weeks.
“There is a tremendous spirit down at the club and we know that a good display is just around the corner; it would be great if that happens on Thursday.”
Any old or new players who would like to be involved at Rovers please contact Club Secretary Nikki Whalley on 07889 170895 or e-mail woolstonroversrl@hotmail.co.uk for further details.
